Did you know that the Romans named the month of May after Maia, an earth goddess of growing plants? I have a great garden this year and my roses are over the top. But let's get down to the business at hand. I will be participating in two author events in May that should be a lot of fun.
Mystery Ink. I am joining a group of ten other great mystery writers who will be reading from their latest work on Saturday, May 5, from Noon to 2 pm at Books, Inc., 2251 Chestnut Street, San Francisco. This is in the Marina District and parking can be a problem. I’ve been told there is a parking garage on Pierce Street between Lombard and Chestnut.
This event is sponsored by the Northern California chapter of Sisters in Crime and is there spring-author showcase. You’ll hear from writers that are excellent. I’ll be reading from Drop Dead Red.
Dru’s Book Musings. ‘A Day in the Life of Trisha Carson.’ This was a fun assignment. I had to interview Trisha Carson, the amateur sleuth who is the main character in my Trisha Carson mystery series, that include Drop Dead Red and also, Dead in the Water. It gives you an interesting perspective of this 40-something woman who has changed her life around by solving murders in the San Francisco Bay area.
The interview will go live on Dru’s Book Musings on Friday, May 25th. Hope you have a chance to learn a little bit more about Trisha’s backstory.
Happy merry month of May!
